Media Gallery & Smart Attachment Insertion
Upload images and videos to your media library, attach assets to hints, and insert media into web editors and chat forms.
Beyond plain text, Supahint empowers you to manage rich visual assets—including screenshots, instructional diagrams, product images, and short video clips—and insert them directly into web inputs.
1. Uploading & Organizing Media#
- Open the Supahint Sidepanel and navigate to the Media tab.
- Click Upload Media or drag & drop files (PNG, JPG, WEBP, MP4, GIF).
- Add optional captions or tags to help locate files during quick search.
2. Attaching Media to Hints#
You can link one or more media files to a text Hint:
- When creating or editing a Hint, select Attach Media.
- Choose files from your Media Gallery.
- When the text Hint is inserted, Supahint will attempt to attach the linked media assets simultaneously.
3. How Auto-Insertion Works#
Supahint intelligently adapts to different web input fields:
- Rich Text Editors (Tiptap, Quill, TinyMCE, CKEditor, Draft.js): Media is inserted directly as inline images or media blocks into the canvas.
- File Upload Inputs / Attachments: For forms with file upload buttons, Supahint automatically feeds the media Blob into the input file list.
- Chat & Messaging Apps (Slack, WhatsApp Web, Intercom, Crisp): Inserts image/video clips directly into the drag-and-drop or attachment dropzone.
4. Direct Insertion via Shortcuts#
- Open the Media Gallery modal in the Sidepanel (or hit the shortcut).
- Use
Up / Down Arrowkeys to browse thumbnail previews. - Press
Enterto insert the selected media file directly into the active cursor position.
